All turbines at Windpark Samen Voor de Wind dismantled

All 7 wind turbines at Windpark Samen Voor de Wind are now dismantled. The old turbines will be replaced by modern, larger turbines.

The onshore wind farm comprised of 7 Enercon, type E66, turbines which have been operating since 2002 alongside the Overijsselse tocht, nearby Swifterbant in the municipality of Dronten. Windpark Samen Voor de Wind is an initiative of 7 farmers. It supplies electricity to Greenchoice.

The seven new turbines are also Enercon turbines, type E82. They have an axis height of 69 m. The turbines generate approximately 35,000,000 KWh annually, the equivalent of the total energy consumption of around 9,000 households, against 1,500 households previously.

The wind turbines were dismantled using a 750-tonnes Liebherr crane from Sarens. The dismantling activities were performed by Lithuanian company Inikti. The old turbines are given a second life in Lithuania. The debris of the old foundations are reused for new assembly spots. Source: Windpark Samen voor de Wind.
