Zuiderzeewind has awarded a contract for the delivery of the internal platforms for the wind turbines in Wind Farm Fryslân to the frisian company Bijlsma Constructies.
Bijlsma Constructies will fabricate the internal platforms for all 89 wind turbines. Each of these platforms will consist of two floors and weigh around 5,000 kilo each. It is here where the cables will enter and are connected to the internal turbine switch. The company will start the production in March of this year and is expected to complete the production in July.
The company was introduced to the project when visiting an open day, organised by Zuiderzeewind, a consortium of Van Oord and Siemens Gamesa who are the main contractors for the wind farm.
Bijlsma Constructions will be working together on this project with other local companies such as Visser Konstruktiebedrijf and Straal & Coating Bakhuizen.
Wind farm Fryslân is constructed near Breezanddijk, south of the Afsluitdijk, in the northern part of the IJsselmeer lake. It will comprise 89 Siemens Gamesa 4.3 MW turbines.
