Renewable Factory develops wind farm Oostflakkee along a dyke in South-Holland. BLIX Consultancy supports with the turbine tender, the civil-electrical tender, and the grid connection. Bas de Bruin, responsible from Renewable Factory: “We hired BLIX for this project because they know how to execute prosperous contracting of the wind farm with high quality.”
Renewable Factory has developed a large portfolio of onshore wind projects inside and outside the Netherlands, in the past years. The wind farm Oostflakkee is the third project that is currently in the execution phase. Renewable Factory develops the project together with farmers who are the landowners. It’s a challenging location because during the Second World War many explosives were dropped there.
Eight wind turbines will be constructed with a maximum hub height of 91 meters and a rotor diameter of 132 meters and a tip height of maximum 150 meters. The wind farm will have a capacity of 33.6 MW. The project significantly contributes to the energy aims of the Province of South-Holland.
Engineers Ensol and ABT will design the electrical and civil works and provide technical support to the project.
