Green light for maintenance base Ørsted in Vlissingen

Ørsted has been granted permits to build the maintenance base for Borssele 1 + 2 offshore wind farm in Vlissingen-Buitenhaven (North Sea Port). Earlier this year, an agreement was already signed with North Sea Port for the use of the port and the establishment of the maintenance location.

In 2017, Ørsted and the port authority signed a letter of intent for this. Windpark Borssele 1 + 2 has a capacity of 752 MW and is built 23 kilometers from the coast of Westkapelle.

The key facts: total floor area approx. 2100 m2, start construction 4th quarter 2018, employees 50-100 when the wind farm is operational, number of crew transport boats max. 4. Photo: Ørsted
