Yesterday, #TalentForEnergy, the first youth wind energy community was launched at the CONTACTA event in Goes. Students from the minor Offshore Renewable Energy at the HZ University of Applied Sciences and from Scalda Winddock signed a pledge to become ambassadors for the wind energy sector.
As part of their role, they will be organising guest lectures at primary and high schools, aimed at arousing interest amongst youngsters for sustainability and technique, and in particular wind energy.
#TalentFor Energy is powered bij het Centre of Expertise Water & Energy and Platform Energy Port Zeeland. Energy Port Zeeland and the province of Zeeland organised a student café Offshore Wind to introduce students with the job possibilities in offshore wind in the province and what makes it special. Speakers were Klaasjaap Buijs of Ørsted, who spoke about the new offshore wind farm Borssele and Joost Pellis, recruiter offshore wind at Atlas Professionals, who spoke about the current and future job opportunities in the province of Zeeland.
