Prysmian wins cable deal for Hollandse Kust Zuid 3 & 4

Cable specialist Prysmian Group has been awarded a contract by Vattenfall for the delivery of the 66 kVinter–array cable systems for Hollandse Kust Zuid 3 & 4 offshore wind farm.

Prysmian will design, test and supply 172 km of 66 kV XLPE-insulated inter-array cables, as well as the related accessories. The cables will be produced in Prysmian’s production site in Nordenham, Germany. The notice to proceed is expected by early 2020 at the latest. Delivery is due by 2022.

Vattenfall won the tender for the 760 MW Hollandse Kust Zuid 3 & 4 offshore wind development site earlier this month. It will be the second subsidy-free offshore wind farm to be built in Dutch waters.
