Scalda officially opens wind training and learning centre

Yesterday secondary vocational education Scalda, officially opened their wind training and learning centre, WindDock. The event took place prior to a meeting by Energy Port Zeeland in Vlissingen.

The opening speech was given by Nout Nagtegaal, teamleader of WindDock, and Veronique van de Reijt, Director Maritime and Technique at Scalda. This was followed by the official opening by deputy Jo Annes de Bat by means of putting a mini wind turbine in operation.

After the opening, a representative of Ørsted handed out a GWO certificate to Huib Gerretsen of De Ruijter Training en Consult. From now on the WindDock centre is accredited to provide Basic Technical Training and Basic Safety Trainings. Scalda is the first secondary vocational education course to receive this.
