British seabed survey specialist Bibby HydroMap has chartered Seazip Offshore Service’s survey vessel SeaZip Fix to perform seismic survey operations on the Hollandse Kust Zuid 1 & 2 wind farm site.
SeaZip Fix is a 42m DP1 Ice Class multi-disciplined vessel which was rebuilt in 2015. The acoustically quiet vessel is reported to be ideal for a range of tasks including geophysical surveys, UXO detection surveys, cable depth of burial surveys, benthic habitat surveys, geotechnical investigations (CPT and VC) and subsea (ROV) inspections. It offers accommodation for up to 21 persons and an air conditioned gym, messroom for up to 10, office and online ROV room.
Bibby Hydromap was awarded a contract by Vattenfall for large-scale UXO survey in early 2019. The company uses a multi-vessel approach, using the Bibby Tethra and Bibby Athena. SeaZip Fix will join the fleet in July. Source: Bibby Hydromap
